John Kerry Concedes Election
Washington, DC - John Kerry has just conceded the 2004 election to incumbent George W. Bush.
Us at PaperSoup are scared.
I never expected the Majority of American people to be so blind to the injustices that President bush has accrued. The President is supposed to look out for the best interests of his people. Apparently the best interests of the American people is for them to be sent to die in a foreign country. I know that I am not alone in saying this. I also know that that is NOT in my interest at all. Winning this war in Iraq can't be done alone. We desperately need help from other countries who can also lose some troops, and spend some money. Even a little moral support would be better than what we have now. We are hated by every foreign country, and because of that, there is no end to this war on terror in sight. If everyone else hates us, doesn't that make them more likely to harbor or help terrorists that hate us too?

So apparently the U.S. is full of ignorant, selfish, bullying, religious right wing zealots.... I thought we were better than that. Take our civil liberties, environment, and foreign relations and flush that shit down the toilet. 4 more years WITHOUT re-election in the back of his mind. God help us.....

That's funny that you mention being unique and education... It seems to me, if you look up slightly, you will see the person before you mentioned education as well... you're real unique.... ass.
Bush sucks. Problem is, Kerry wasn't much better. So the decison faced by many at election time was either: A) Go with what we got and hope it gets better or B) Start all over again and hope it gets better. They chose A because B did nothing to prove he would be better. PLUS he lost the Conservative Liberal base because he's an Massachusetts elitist with a socialife wife who automatically lost votes for her husband because 3/4 of the voters in the south don't like calling her Te-ray-sa... They say that's too dang fancy!
Republicans suck, Democrats suck, our two party system sucks and voting has become an act of choosing the lesser of two evils and not who's best qualified for the position. (thus how a good ol boy gets elected to the most powerful office in the world).
It's broke yet no one wants to fix it yet everybody has no problem flinging blame for why it's broken in the first place.
You want a better president? Go find one. Because there ain't one decent potential on the horizon and the sun could be fading on the greatest country in the world if something isn't done soon.

Min Age is 35. Well remember me when you need omeone to run your field program. I worked the campaign to get kerry elected. It december 16th and i am still depressed and getting into bar fights. *raises cup* hears to 4 more year of the environment going down the drain, the national debt rising, social spending evaporating.. *sigh* Hope to see you all there Jan 20th so I won't be the only person mooning him..
